Nature faces
Class 1 enjoyed exploring our Forest school classroom this afternoon. We collected natural items to create the children's faces to make artwork. The children had lots of fun enjoying the space and working together with their friends.
North, East, South, West
We have been using compasses to find directions on our playground during our orienteering lesson.
Charcoal in Art
We have started our art unit on Charcoal today. We used charcoal sticks to explore techniques such as hatching, cross hatching, blending, stippling, scrumbling and expressive lines. Well done children.
New start for the outdoor area
Between the heavy rain showers, Class 3 have worked hard to gather the last of the vegetables (mainly beans and tomatoes) and pick the many weeds from the beds so they are clear for Winter. Great teamwork children!
Science - recycled boats
Today we got to test our boats that we made earlier this week. We’ve been reading Nelson’s Dangerous Dive and learning all about plastic pollution and the importance of looking after our planet. We made egg box boats and tested how many people they could carry before the capsized and sank!

We have designed our team kits and we are ready to begin our tables tables multiplication leagues.
New saint and value
Our new value for this half term is ‘Responsibility’. The saint we are learning about is St Mary, who was chosen to be the mother of Jesus. This was not just a responsibility but a huge honour!
New History Topic

Class 4 - the start of tidying up the outdoor classroom
We have begun the process of tidying up the outdoor area after it has overgrown during the Summer holiday. We worked as a great team and everyone got stuck in.
