New start for the outdoor area
Between the heavy rain showers, Class 3 have worked hard to gather the last of the vegetables (mainly beans and tomatoes) and pick the many weeds from the beds so they are clear for Winter. Great teamwork children!
Science - recycled boats
Today we got to test our boats that we made earlier this week. We’ve been reading Nelson’s Dangerous Dive and learning all about plastic pollution and the importance of looking after our planet. We made egg box boats and tested how many people they could carry before the capsized and sank!

Tables, tables begins
We have designed our team kits and we are ready to begin our tables tables multiplication leagues.
New saint and value
Our new value for this half term is ‘Responsibility’. The saint we are learning about is St Mary, who was chosen to be the mother of Jesus. This was not just a responsibility but a huge honour!
New History Topic
This afternoon we introduced our new History topic, World War 1. We started off with an art activity, the children were able to choose their own materials and techniques to create poppies for our poppy wreath display. We spoke about the significance of the poppy and read the poem ‘In Flanders…
Class 4 - the start of tidying up the outdoor classroom
We have begun the process of tidying up the outdoor area after it has overgrown during the Summer holiday. We worked as a great team and everyone got stuck in.
Duffy’s Lucky Escape!
We have started our year by reading the book Duffy’s Lucky Escape. We have written some poetry based on the illustrations. We have also drawn the turtle in art and worked on our colour blending skills.
We are so excited to welcome on new Class 1 children!
We are so excited to be welcoming our new children to Class 1 next week so much that we thought it would be lovely to share a sneaky peak of some of the activities and areas that are ready for the children to explore and learn in.

Anson’s got talent
Class 1 have had a wonderful morning watching and taking part in Anson’s Got Talent. All of the children enjoyed auditioning and we had such fun.
The children who took part in the show today were amazing and should be so proud of themselves.
