We had another fantastic football session with Mrs Dean. The girls loved it.

Our year 5s have worked extremely hard this week to decorate our body panels for the Greenpower race cars. They are now ready to be fitted to the cars.

We have nearly finished putting the cars back together now ready for race day and we have started measuring and cutting out our bodywork panels.

The children are enjoying choosing their own activities this afternoon as a little treat before we break up!   They are busy constructing, balancing, puzzle solving, colouring and completing maths challenges on Numbots!

Class 1 today have finished finding out about why churches are so important to Christians. Everyone has remembered what makes churches so special and also the important features of churches.

Whilst studying different poetry skills this week, we have looked at the use of similes and ,metaphors. We had a go at describing ourselves using these 2 skills. Can you guess which child each short poem is describing? 

The children have worked together in French to write their weather report. They chose a city from the map of France and used a model to prepare their weather forecast, practising the weather expressions they have been learning this half term. Super work, Bon travail!

This afternoon the children explored the properties different materials to determine which would be best to block out light from the sun, on a nasa rocket.

Today the children brought their stories to life with their chosen instruments.  It was wonderful to hear how through their choice of instruments and method of delivery, they were able to tell their stories.

Class 3 have had a trip out to the canal to observe and paint it. 

We took our sketch books, watercolour palettes and brushes then set ourselves up on the grass. We observed the landscape and applied our taught skills to our final pieces of artwork for this watercolour art unit.
