Why Is Soap So Important?

In our next experiment we investigated why soap is so important. We made our predictions first and discussed these with the rest of the class. 

We used pepper in water to represent the germs. Next we dipped our sticks into the pepper water to see what happens. Then we dipped it into the soap to see what happens. 

We discovered that the soap repelled the pepper (germs) and that the water did nothing. We discussed the importance of soap when washing our hands.
