Class 2 Outdoor Classroom Blog

This morning Class 2 enjoyed an Autumn walk around the grounds. We were exploring our senses; what can we see, hear, feel, smell and taste? We shared some autumn poetry and indulged in hot chocolate too. 
 

Class 2 spent some time this morning outside in our outdoor area tending to our vegetable patch, and weeding the allotment.

Today during our outdoor Thursday, class 2 spent time building dens, weeding, tidying our allotment and exploring nature.

We ended the visit with a quick parable of how God created our world.

We love spending our Thursday mornings outside here in class 2.

Class 2 made the most of the wonderful sunshine this morning and headed out to their outdoor classroom to plant their sunflowers. We have been patiently waiting for them to sprout big enough for us to transfer to our allotment. 
Let’s hope they grow into some fabulously big sunflowers this year!

We have learned what components are needed  to make a vehicle - axel,chassis, wheels. We made vehicles today with the junk we collected - it was such fun and we loved working outside. 

Class 2 spent this afternoon giving our outdoor classroom a tidy up. The children helped pull some weeds out of our planting beds ready for us to plant our sunflowers, water our little herb garden, and pop all of our circles stools back where they belong.

Class 2 finished planting their sunflower seeds this morning and then we popped our worms from our science experiment into our compost bin to carry on their hard work!

Class 2 started to plant their sunflower seeds this morning. We are going to pop them in a nice sunny spot in the classroom until they’re ready to pop in our class area outside.

After a wonderful half term, it was lovely to be back outside in our fabulous outdoor classroom here at Anson.
