Easter writing and cards!
Class 1 have been learning about the Easter story and Easter traditions this week. The children have written sentences to share their knowledge about traditions and have all created an Easter card with the cross symbol and have discussed what this symbolises to Christians.

Cocoons!
Today some of our caterpillars have started to hang upside down in their J shapes, getting ready to make their cocoon. Some of our caterpillars have already made their cocoons over the weekend and we have filled in the next part to our caterpillar diary to record our observations.
Caterpillars!
Our caterpillars are growing! They have eaten lots of food, we have noticed their skin shed, webs and also lots of poo! We have been making observations and notes in our caterpillar diaries, carefully documenting this process.

Minibeast Hotel
Class 1 explored minibeast habitats in Science today and why minibeasts like small, sheltered places. We went outside to collect natural materials, sticks, leaves, pine cones and bark to create a bug hotel out of a tyre.
