Top Secret - Mum’s Do Not Peep!
Today we made beautiful cards for the beautiful mums, aunties , grandparents and all those who do so much for us - a BIG THANK YOU to them.
A very sunny Thursday!
Class 2 finished planting their sunflower seeds this morning and then we popped our worms from our science experiment into our compost bin to carry on their hard work!

A Roman Banquet!
This morning we used spelt flour to bake our own Roman recipe bread. Spelt is an ancient grain widely grown during Roman times. We also enjoyed trying other Roman snacks such as figs, olives and the more familiar grapes and pears. Most of us agreed we prefer modern day food!
Orienteering
Today we completed our first orienteering course in PE. We used a map of the school grounds to navigate our way to retrieve the markers identified on the maps. We worked in teams to find the quickest way to complete the course without missing out any check points.
Caterpillars!
Our caterpillars are growing! They have eaten lots of food, we have noticed their skin shed, webs and also lots of poo! We have been making observations and notes in our caterpillar diaries, carefully documenting this process.
Class 1 are really enjoying watching them grow!
Minibeast Hotel
Class 1 explored minibeast habitats in Science today and why minibeasts like small, sheltered places. We went outside to collect natural materials, sticks, leaves, pine cones and bark to create a bug hotel out of a tyre.
Science investigation - Teeth
We have been investigating the effects of different drinks on our teeth. We submerged eggs (their shell has similar properties to the enamel on our teeth) into different liquids. We tested; water, milk, orange juice, sugar free coke, coke and vinegar. After 2 days we were amazed to see the effects…
