Growing Potatoes

In Science today we learnt about the process of growing potatoes. We found out that if you have time before planting that it is good to chit your potatoes. Everyone had a chance to chit their own potatoes. This involved standing our seed potato in an egg box which we then place in a bright frost free position. We have placed ours on the window ledge in our classroom.

Class 2 then watched a speeded up video of a seed potato growing for 92 days! We will keep a close eye on them as we wait for them to sprout.
