As children across the UK return to school, we’re asking parents, carers, and the wider community to help us keep them safe.

Road Safety:

  • ????Please take extra care around schools during drop-off and pick-up times. Drive slowly and be alert for children crossing.
  • ????Remind children to use pedestrian crossings and avoid stepping into the road from between parked cars.
  • ????Park safely & legally – Never on zig-zags, double yellow lines or across driveways
  • ????????Where possible, encourage walking, cycling, or scooting to school to reduce congestion.

Online Safety:

  • With increased use of phones and devices for schoolwork and socialising, talk to your child about staying safe online.
  • Remind them not to share personal details with strangers and to report anything that makes them uncomfortable

Personal Safety:

  • Encourage children to walk with friends where possible and to stick to well-lit, busy routes.
  • Remind them never to accept lifts or gifts from strangers.
  • Make sure they know who to contact in an emergency.

Together, we can ensure a safe and positive start to the new school year.

 Thank you
