Anglo Saxon baking

Today we used an Anglo Saxon recipe with only 4 ingredients, to bake our own honey shortbread. The children showed excellent team work in their groups and really enjoyed measuring and mixing the ingredients. They added details to their shortbread, similar to designs we have seen on shields and jewellery to make them look even more authentic. Most importantly, they thought they were really tasty!
