Cocoons!
Today some of our caterpillars have started to hang upside down in their J shapes, getting ready to make their cocoon. Some of our caterpillars have already made their cocoons over the weekend and we have filled in the next part to our caterpillar diary to record our observations.
Football on a Monday!
Class 2 had the opportunity to engage in a fabulous football workshop this morning. They practiced lots of different skills in the sunshine.

Mothering Sunday Service at St Stephen's
Class 2 thoroughly enjoyed our Mothering Sunday Service at St Stephen's on Friday. Each child had written a note to their mothers expressing what they are most thankful for.
It was a wonderful service and fabulous to see our beautiful church so full.

PCSO Session 3
Today Emma and Gareth our local PCSO’s came in to teach us all about what anti social behaviour is and how it can cause distress, alarm & harassment.

Mothering Sunday Art
Today we created some outstanding drawings and paintings which will be used in our special assembly tomorrow.

A very sunny Thursday!
Class 2 finished planting their sunflower seeds this morning and then we popped our worms from our science experiment into our compost bin to carry on their hard work!

A Roman Banquet!
This morning we used spelt flour to bake our own Roman recipe bread. Spelt is an ancient grain widely grown during Roman times. We also enjoyed trying other Roman snacks such as figs, olives and the more familiar grapes and pears. Most of us agreed we prefer modern day food!
Orienteering
Today we completed our first orienteering course in PE. We used a map of the school grounds to navigate our way to retrieve the markers identified on the maps. We worked in teams to find the quickest way to complete the course without missing out any check points.
Caterpillars!
Our caterpillars are growing! They have eaten lots of food, we have noticed their skin shed, webs and also lots of poo! We have been making observations and notes in our caterpillar diaries, carefully documenting this process.
Class 1 are really enjoying watching them grow!
