Class 2

Today here in Class 2 we have been learning all about St Valentine, and how his act of courageous advocacy is still remembered today.

As an random act of kindness and love on on St Valentine’s  Day, Class 2 wrote some inspirational notes and played Cupid!

To celebrate the end of our history unit “The moon landing” Class 2 went to The National Space Centre.
There was so much to see and do, we had a wonderful day!

Here in Class 2 we like to try and watch Newsround every day to catch up on what is happening in the world around us.

On todays episode, they spoke about how today marks the 80th anniversary of the end of the Holocaust. 

We had a brief discussion about why we spend time to remember things…

This term in art Class 2 are training to be sculptor.

Today we practiced our pinching pot method and made our very own pots!

Class 2 have been learning all about their senses in science this week.

We had a go at predicting what was in a cup by using our sense of smell, what was in the bag using our sense of touch, and what the sound was using our sense of hearing.

Today class 2 tried ‘stilling’.

As part of understanding spirituality, we looked within ourselves and how sometimes our emotions can swirl all around us when we are shook, much like the mud within our muddy jar. However, over time and with reflection we can help these emotions settle.
