We finished writing our letters to the big man today and posted them off to the North Pole this afternoon!

Today, was our first knitting lesson. We showed much resilience as some of us found it tough. We learnt the skills of casting on and stitching a row.

We learnt about the orbits of the Earth and moon and then created our own models to explain this.

Year 1’s have been practising their number bonds to ten by playing board games.

We had a very special delivery in Class 2 this morning, direct from the North Pole!

The children were very excited to discover we had been sent a class elf and voted to call her Rainbow. 
 

We had fun making our Christingles, ready for the service.

We have been designing our own clothing in our French lesson.

Class 2 Arts and Crafts Club have been getting their festive jingle on this lunchtime. We’ve been busy making these beautiful orange peel mini wreaths.  Don’t they look fabulous? The classroom smells delightful too!

This afternoon we have been learning all about how school has changed since Victorian times.  We moved our desks to sit in rows and tried to imagine what it must have been like to be at school in those times.  The children squashed themselves on to two chairs to understand how it must have felt to…

We’ve had great fun is science this afternoon, exploring the spread of microbes.  We’ll be keeping a close watch on our samples this week to see how they develop!

Today we have been practising passing in netball. We played a game, scoring when we made a number of passes.

We had a lovely festive time at Arts and Crafts club today.  The children made ‘Christmas Wishes’ jars, complete with real conifer and snow!
