This week we have taken some time to think of our own well being and the importance of finding calm and stillness in in a busy day. We compared what can happen in our minds with a muddy jar. When we first put a spoonful of soil on the water, it was murky, dark, hard to see through and there were little blobs of soil floating all over the place. It was a mess. We then watched what happened when the jar was still and the water calmed. The soil sank to the bottom and the water became clear again. We compared our own bodies to the jar- we must time time to clear our mind, be still and calm and our thoughts can settle (like the soil) and we can feel more peaceful and manage whatever challenges the days brings if we just take that quiet, reflective moment.
