Fractions

Today we started our new unit - Fractions. We all took part in a scavenger hunt around the room. The year 3s were matching shapes that had been split into parts by whether they had been split into equal parts or not. They then matched the shape with the correct fraction that was shaded. The year 4s started by drawing their own shapes to split into equal parts and then matched the shaded shapes with the fraction needed to make a whole eg 7/9 pairs with 2/9.
