Domino Hunt and Addition

This week, we have been exploring combining two groups to find the total and then recording it as a number sentence in our maths learning. Today we went across to our outdoor classroom for our maths activity in our groups with Mrs Philp. Once in the outdoor classroom, we went on a domino hunt and when we discovered where  a domino was hiding, we used our fantastic subsidising and addition skills to find out the total number of dots on our domino. We then recorded it as a number sentence on a small whiteboard.

We had such fun hunting and then hiding the dominos again for our friends to find!
