Investigating surfaces in Science
We have learnt about John McAdam in Science. He was a Scottish engineer who modernised the way we build our roads. We investigated lots of different surfaces using toy cars and Newton Meters. We reflected on what properties made a successful road.

Geographical research
Today we researched Mount Vesuvius during our Geography lesson and created a fact file about it. We chose this volcano because it is the one we have been reading about during our English lessons, it’s the most active volcano in Europe!

We finished writing our letters to the big man today and posted them off to the North Pole this afternoon!
Knitting begins
Today, was our first knitting lesson. We showed much resilience as some of us found it tough. We learnt the skills of casting on and stitching a row.
