This week in our maths sessions, Class 1 have been exploring the numbers 4 and 5 and looking at different representations of each number.
This afternoon, we took our learning outside and went on a number representation hunt. Mrs Philp gave each child either a 4 or 5 dot pattern. First everyone had to find the matching representation to their own unique dot representation pattern. Some of the dot patterns were quite tricky to find. Once the children had found their matching dot pattern, Mrs Philp then challenged the children to find a different dot representation of the same number.
All the children were brilliant at this activity and quickly recognised the same and different representations of their number. Great work Class 1!
