Egyptian Workshop

St Mary’s came to join us for an Egyptian workshop today with Steve, the owner of Humph’s Histories. We have had a fantastic day, starting with an overview of the Egyptians, followed by Egyptian quizzes and Maths - Egyptian style, measuring with with a cubit. We also had a competition with different materials to see which group could build the best pyramid. In the afternoon we learnt about the mummification process, we used a dummy first then practised on each other! We also learnt about the different Gods/Godesses and their beliefs in the afterlife. We finished the afternoon with some spear throwing. What a fabulous day!
