What numbers can we share equally between 2?

In our maths session today, Class 1 have been exploring sharing between two groups and finding out which numbers are our odd numbers and which are our even numbers. The children had to choose a number from the mystery bag, count out the correct number of gems for that number using the tweezers and then see if that number could be shared equally between two shells. All the children were able to recognise that odd numbers are those that cannot be shared equally between two groups and even numbers are those that can.
