We released our butterflies!

Today we released our butterflies in the sunshine.

It was amazing to see each of our butterflies up close! We allowed them to warm their wings up in the sunshine and then we each had the opportunity to hold our butterflies to let them fly away. It was an amazing experience. We waved off each of our butterflies and watched them fly off into the sky, we even had a few that flew back to us.

Class 1 have had the best time learning all about the process of metamorphosis and watching our caterpillars grow and change. We are very fortunate with the lovely weather we have had to watch them grow right up to the end.
