Creating an Easter Garden

To finish our RE topic finding out why Christians put a cross in an Easter garden, Class 1 this afternoon found out more about the Easter story. We watched some short videos about how Easter is celebrated in church on both Easter Saturday and Sunday. We then talked about what happened to Jesus on Easter Sunday and then worked together in small groups to create our own Easter garden to help us retell the story of Easter. 
 

The children all worked brilliantly using some natural resources to create their Easter gardens and knew that we needed a tomb with a stone in front of it and a cross to remind us that Jesus died on a cross. Great work Class 1!
