Year 5 - Safe and Sound trip

Today our year 5 pupils went on a trip to Stafford Fire Station as part of the Safe and Sound programme. They took part in a number of activities based on staying safe in certain, potentially dangerous situations. We were shown how dangerous it can be to be too close to a lorry and we even had the opportunity to go into the cab of the truck. We discussed water safety, focusing on the dangers around canals and rivers. The fire service delivered a fantastic workshop on fire safety in the home.
