The Gingerbread Man

Class 1 have started the term off with our new story The Gingerbread Man.

We have created a story map and acted out the story using actions. We learnt new Makatin actions for The Gingerbread Man, Little old Lady, Little Old Man, cat, dog, horse, pig, cow and fox, we used them to act out the story together. You can see our Makaton action for Gingerbread Man modelled by the children on the main picture for this blog post which is made up of 3 guestures. This helped us to remember the story and act it out on our small world tuff spot. We also made scented gingerbread play dough and enjoyed making some play dough cookies!
