This week in Science, we have been learning about skeletal muscles and their function.
We learnt a how our bicep and tricep muscles contract and relax to move our arms. The children then did an experiment to see if the circumference of their upper arms changed. All children observed that their upper arms got wider by several centimetres when contracted as the bicep muscle become shorter and fatter.
