This afternoon in our RE session, Class 1 found out more about The Easter Story and watched some short videos about how Easter is celebrated in church. We talked about what happened to Jesus on Easter Sunday and then we worked together in small groups to make Easter Gardens to help us retell the Easter story. We had hoped to go outside for this activity and got all ready in our coats and wellies, but unfortunately the weather had other ideas!
We had such fun though creating our Easter Gardens in small groups using natural and craft resources. All the children knew we needed to put some grass and flowers in the garden, create a tomb with a large boulder in front of it and suggested we place a cross made out of sticks too. Great work Class 1!
