We have been extremely busy with our D&T project this week. First we found out a little bit about the history of kits. Did you know, the first kites were thought to have been flown in China over 2000 years ago? Then we tested materials to select a suitable material with which to make our kite. We tested strength, stretchiness, rip-ability and waterproofness. After that we designed out kites and then set to work making and decorating them. Finally the fun bit was flying them! Like all good designers we then reflected and evaluated our finished product. We asked ourselves : What did we like, dislike, do differently next time? A very busy but fun week!
