This week Martha in Class 3, was kind enough to bring butterflies in that she had at home.
She had been bringing her educational kit into school so all the pupils in class 3 could see the miracle of metamorphosis up close
Martha had a kit that allowed her the unforgettable opportunity to watch caterpillars change into chrysalides and then emerge as beautiful Painted Lady Butterflies. She raised and fed her very own butterflies and then we released them into the wild at school! The entire transformation from caterpillar to adult butterfly took about three to five weeks. Thank you Martha for sharing the experience we all loved watching them grow and then fly off.
