Year 1 have been busy making repeating patterns in maths today!
Making microbes!
Class 2 have loved designing their own microbes this afternoon. We’ve had a whole host of bacteria, viruses and fungi!
Pudsey!
Today the children made Pudsey bear out of yellow leaves that they collected from our grounds. We talked about Children in Need and the fantastic work they do.
Bread tasting.
Today in DT we explored various types of bread, testing their suitability as potential pizza bases. The children enjoyed the taste testing and we have come to the conclusion that Class 2 just love bread, whatever the type!
Common nouns
The children have been having fun in the classroom finding and labelling common nouns. We even had post it notes on heads and arms! Great work Class 2!
Why Is Soap So Important?
In our next experiment we investigated why soap is so important. We made our predictions first and discussed these with the rest of the class.

Horrid Hands
In our Science lesson today we learnt about germs, or Microbes as we Scientists call them!
We dipped our hands in glitter and then shook hands with our friends passing the transfer of germs down the line. The germs (glitter) spread really easily from person to person.

Wedgwood pots!
Class 2’s Wedgwood inspired pots are looking fabulous! The children worked really hard to sculpt and mould their clay pots, finishing them off in the iconic Wedgwood blue and white colour palette. I’m sure you’ll agree, they are fantastic!
Our timelines
The children loved plotting their own history on their timelines yesterday! They loved sharing their history with the class; sharing memories and discussing their photos.
Film Friday
For completing their good to be green charts, the children have enjoyed Film Friday this afternoon! No trip to the cinema is complete without popcorn!
