In Science we have been discussing how the sun is a natural light source. We created an investigation to explore how we can be protected from UV Rays. We had UV beads which started off as white in the classroom. When we went outside, they changed to pink, purple or yellow due to the UV rays activating them. We used different factors of sun cream on them to protect them - lots of the beads now stayed white. We also explored what colour is best for protecting the bead. We found that the darker colours worked well. We had lots of fun investigating.
