Germs experiment!

Class 1 have been learning about 'Keeping Healthy' in our topic science themed lessons. Today's experiment was to find out how germs can spread and what we can do to stop them spreading. We used glitter to use as visible germs, one of our friends had the glitter germs on their hands and they high fived their friend, then that friend shook hands with their other friend and then that friend held hands with another friend and then that person touched a pencil. We got to see the transfer of the glitter germs all the way to the pencil! We were very shocked by how easily the germs spread.

We then all practised how to correctly wash our hands to wash away the germs and learnt a song to sing whilst we rubbed soap into our hands for 20 seconds!
