Chinese New Year

Class 1 are exploring all things Chinese New Year this week. So far we have listened to the language and we have learned how to say "Hello I am___" in Mandarin.

We have all tried to use Chinese symbols to write our name, it was very tricky and the symbols were much more complex than our alphabet! We even wrote Miss Jarrett's name in Chinese and have attached this to her office door.

The children enjoyed setting up a Chinese Resturant, looking at Chinese delicacies and menus and we have made a Zodiac story small world.

We are looking forward to many more activities this week around our theme!
