In our RE session this week, Class 1 were thinking about about how as well as giving presents to family and friends, Christians like to help other people. We talked about how we help those less fortunate than ourselves by making up parcels for those in need, raising money for charity through Carol Singing, Christingle services or Christmas Jumper day or by volunteering at shelters or food banks.
We also discussed that the meaning behind giving presents at Christmas and how giving presents reminds us of the Wise Men giving gifts to Jesus and how Christians believe that the greatest gift given was Jesus.
Class 1 then chose a gift to wrap and place under our Christmas tree.
