Active Phonics

Year 1 this week have had the opportunity to engage in some active phonics.

Very similar to our active maths, the children have been moving around our classroom and engaging in different phonics activities.
This has included some Black Cat grapheme word sheets, ‘Read, Make, Write’ activities using our magnetic letters, and practicing their high frequency words on our whiteboards.

It has been really lovely to have some time to use our fabulous Monster Phonics resources.
