Hunting for squares and rectangles

In our maths sessions this week, Class 1 have been exploring squares and rectangles and finding out about their distinct properties. 
 

Today, we took our learning outside and went on a shape hunt to spot squares and rectangles in our environment. All the children were fantastic shape spotters and could explain why the shapes they saw were either squares or rectangles by describing the properties of each shape.
