Exploring 1 less than!

This week in maths, we have still been exploring numbers to 3 and today we were thinking about 1 less and what 1 less than means.
 

We went outside in the glorious sunshine and found lots of cones with different numbers on. Mrs Philp asked the children to travel to a cone to show 1 less than the number she called. The children thought carefully and worked so hard to find the cone that showed the number that was 1 less than the given number.
