Dentists & Oral Hygiene

Today Class 1 learnt all about Ora Hygiene and Gpgoing to the dentist.

We also carried out an experiment using 3 apples which we observed over 3 days to see what happens to an apple (tooth) if we don’t look after it. We made observations of what it would look like inside a tooth if we weren’t brushing our teeth!

We had fun role playing dentists with a playdough dentist set, cleaning teeth in the correct way by brushing pen off of pretend teeth, sorting healthy and unhealthy foods for your teeth and making a set of teeth out of playdough. We also watched a video of a child going to visit the dentist for the first time so we know what to expect when we go.
