Birdwatch

Class 1 have taken part in the big schools birdwatch!

We went out into our school grounds to complete a survey of the birds we have in our school, we looked at the results of popular birds observed last year and studied the appearance of the different birds we needed to look out for and thought about the places we might find the most birds.

We made sure we were very quiet and put our rainsuits on so that we could crawl and lie on the floor to try to stay hidden to not scare the birds away. We were so quiet we could hear so many bird singing away, it was very relaxing!

We saw lots of Pigeons but also after noticing the birds were being fed in a garden nearby we saw Blue Tits, House Sparrows and Robins. 

We submitted our results into the RSPB birdwatch survey online and are thinking of ways to encourage more birds into our school! Watch this space!
