How to be a good friend

Today in Class 2 we have been thinking about the importance of being a kind friend. We have also discussed about bullying and what this means. The children have learnt not to confuse bullying with small incidents that happen between our friends from time to time. The children listened to a story with some familiar characters, Topsy and Tim. In the story the children helped a friend build up the confidence to talk to a teacher about another child who was upsetting them. As a class we then talked about the qualities of a good friend and what we want in a friend. The class decided someone who is fun, cheerful, honest, helpful and a good listener would be their top qualities! Well done Class 2!
