Class 1 will receive certificates for their work on Sun safety from this afternoon. With the weather being very hot at the moment we needed to understand how to keep ourselves safe!
We learnt all about the invisible rays that the sun gives off that can burn or damage our skin and how to protect ourselves. Wearing sun hats, staying in the shade, staying hydrated, keeping your shoulders covered, wearing and re applying sun cream, the children all looked at their bottles of sun cream and what it says that it does, noticing that factor 50 is the best protection for us. The children created sun safety posters, dressed people correctly ready for being out in the sun, created weather reports and symbols for the weather. They also had their own Anson’s weather report where they acted out The weather news forecast to their friends watching from their sofas at home!
Well done Class 1 - you will receive your certificate in our celebration assembly!
