In History club, we have been investigating the Staffordshire Hoard, the biggest collection of Anglo Saxon treasure ever found. The children were amazed that the discovery was made by a man and his metal detector in a field just outside Lichfield, which is just up the road.
We acted out and role-played how the farmer and archaeologists would have felt making the discovery and this week started designing our own Anglo Saxon brooches.
