As part of our RE learning this term, Class 1 have been finding out about what happens in a church.
Today we were very lucky to be invited for a special tour of the church and we had a lovely time exploring the church and finding our which features are in our church. We saw the bell tower, organ, font and lectern. We were all allowed up into the pulpit and found out that St Stephen’s has not one, but two altars!
We also found out that a long time ago, 365 people could go inside the church for a service and that there is a special door that the vicar used to used to go into church and a door that was build especially for Lord Lichfield to enter the church by!
