Easter Egg Subtraction

This week Class 1 have been having a fantastic time in maths finding out about subtraction. Today, we used some mini Easter eggs to help us find the answer to some subtraction number sentences. The children either worked with a partner or by themselves to choose a number and then add that number of eggs to their big egg. They then rolled a dice and took that number of eggs away. The children could then recall it as a number sentence and either used some number and symbol cards to show the number sentence  or a whiteboard to write each number sentence.
