Reading with Stoke City

Jake from Stoke City Football Club worked with a small group of children to promote and encourage reading. 

They discussed the 5 finger rule on how to choose a book which will be suitable and enjoyable for them to read. 

They then worked on the skill of skimming and scanning before actually reading a book. This skill enables them to see if they are going to like the book they have chosen.
