In English today, we held a press conference to interview the survivors ( plebeians and patricians), local senators and volcano experts about the eruption in Pompeii. Even the Emperor Titus attended! Our interview panel were brilliant at getting into character and thinking about how they would describe their experience of the disaster.
The children will be composing direct speech for their own newspaper reports this week.
