This afternoon in Science, we carried out another interesting sound experiment. We wanted to find out how effective different materials are in preventing vibrations reaching the ear. To do this we used a decibel reader, an iPad with a siren sound and wrapped it up in different materials such as bubble wrap, a scarf, newspaper and a plastic bag.
We found out that the most effective insulator was the blanket, and the least effective was the bubble wrap.
