Terrific Trip to Think Tank

Today we got the amazing opportunity to go to the Thinktank museum in Birmingham! We had the most amazing time!

We visited the museum as part of our science curriculum as we are currently studying “states of matter”. To enhance our  learning, we also took part in a “Cauldron Chemistry” session.

During the day, we had the opportunity to tour the Thinktank Science Museum and gardens as well as taking part in a science session, delivered by the Thinktank team. This was such an exciting opportunity and an experience that has enriched our learning immensely. 

As part of the day we took part in a Cauldron Chemistry Session. Where we saw a scientist perform amazing ‘magical’ experiments. We learnt about solids, liquids and gases in ways that blew our socks off! We were amazed by disappearing solids, a real life magic potion, exploding gases, coloured flames and not so animal-friendly baths. It was so much fun to watch! To finish the session off we saw a larger than life jet candle!

The children had so much fun and were all so well behaved! An absolute credit to our school and community!
