Image of Breathing and Meditation

This afternoon, we went into the outdoor classroom to enjoy some mindfulness time focusing on our breathing. We carried out a selection of activities which included; colour breathing, birthday cake breathing and slimy hands, yuk!! During this time we asked children how it made them feel and here are a few of their responses:

Jade - “It helped me clear my mind.” 

Jaiden - “It made me feel very calm.”

Aine - “It was smoothing.”

Henry- “ It made me feel blissful”

Oliver - “It made me feel very relaxed and at peace.”

Afterwards, we went onto the playground and completed a meditation session by laying on the floor in the sunshine tensing and releasing our muscles from head to toe. 

Following on from these activities everyone agreed that it made them feel calm, relaxed and blissful!
