Year One have enjoyed exploring the ghost letter sound wh today. In Guided Reading they read the text ‘Where are the ghosts?’. They are working very hard to develop their expression when reading and we will continue to practise this in class reading too. In Phonics they enjoyed going on a hunt around the classroom for ‘ wh’ words. They even recognised that many of the words were question words ( words we have at the start of questions) - well remembered year one!
