This week in English the children have been learning how to follow instructions carefully in preparation for their instruction writing. They started the week off by taking part in some fun games where they had to listen to each other’s instructions to draw a particular shape. They used their listening skills to great effect and made sure they used clear and precise instructions when instructing their friend what to do.
Later in the week, the children played some games and completed various activities to see how good they were at following written instructions. We learnt about the importance of structure and layout and also found out that is important that instructions are clear and simple. Well done Class 3! I look forward to seeing your work next week when you begin writing your own instructions.
