Class 1 made a wormery this week as we wanted to find out what worms do whilst they are underground. It was a very rainy day, but that was perfect for finding worms. We even performed an extra rain dance to see if we could encourage the worms to come to the top!
We made a repeating pattern of layers of sand and soil in a container so that we can observe what happens. We have kept our wormery in a dark place like it would be underground and we will keep observing to see what happens.
